Indianapolis Star---June 24, 2009

Robert A. "Bob" Mahan 91, of Franklin, passed away June 19, 2009. Bob was the former owner operator of Ace Hardware in Carmel for 20 years. He was a member of Millersville Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, former member of Carmel Kiwanis and a 65 year member of the former Bellaire United Methodist Church. Bob is survived by Katherine Mahan his bride of 68 years; brother, Rev. Chester Mahan; sister, Myrtle Lawson and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday June 27, 2009 in the chapel at Franklin United Methodist Community, 1070 W. Jefferson St. Franklin, IN 46131. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter, 50 E. 91st. St. Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240 or the Franklin United Methodist Community Memorial Fund. Final arrangements provided by Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Decatur.
