Richard "Dickie" Jennings went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2009. He was born January 1, 1938 to Sam and Ruth Jennings, who predeceased him.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Stella Jennings; sister, Betty Seiders and husband Joe; brother, Charles Jennings and wife Robin; son, Rickie Jennings and wife Tammy; daughter, Kathie Glass and husband David; son, Chris Jennings and wife Kris; and daughter, Julie Young and husband Steve. He had twelve grandchildren: Danny Glass and wife Alyson, Colt Jennings, Amanda Glass, Maverick Jennings, Dallas Glass, MacKenzie Jennings, Dillon Glass, Ryder Young, Wyatt Jennings, Marek Jennings, Ryanne Young and MaKyla Jennings; and one great grandson, Ruston Glass. He had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him very much.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 1, 2010 at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. A funeral service, officiated by Reverend Mike Ledbetter, will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 1:00 pm. in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. Interment will follow at Berry's Creek Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Glass, Dallas Glass, Dillon Glass, Ryder Young, Maverick Jennings, Marek Jennings, Colt Jennings, and Wyatt Jennings. Honorary pallbearers will be Alyson Glass, Amanda Glass, Ryanne Young, MacKenzie Jennings, MaKyla Jennings, and Ruston Glass.
