JAKE P WAGNER DIES IN HOSPITAL
Jake P Wagner, 72, of 525 W Kettleman Ln., died Sunday night in a local hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Chamberlin, S Dakota, he grew up in Manfred, N Dakota where he farmed until 1925 when he came to Lodi. A short time later, he moved to Tracy.
He returned to Lodi in 1943 and farmed in this area until 1960 when he retired because of ill health. He was a member of the county, state and national associations of pigion breeders.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Reimche Wagner of Lodi; one daughter, Mrs. Vernie Dutcher of Stockton; three brothers; John and George Wagner of Lodi and Herbert Reiswig of Stockton; four sisters, Mrs. Amelia Mayer of Lodi; Mrs. Martha Heiser of Acampo; Mrs. Lydia Wagner of Sacramento, and Mrs. Lorraine Rausch of Antioch; and one grand daughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday in the chapel of the Lodi Funeral Home with Dr. John Wobig of the First Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Cherokee Memorial Park.
