Woodstock, July [25].—George Harbaugh Benchoff, fifty-eight, lifelong resident of Waynesboro, Pa., died here this morning at the home of his brother, Colonel Howard J. Benchoff, headmaster of the Massanutten Academy and former president of the Shenandoah Valley, Inc.
Since he [George] was two years of age he has been an invalid following an attack of spinal meningitis.
He came to Woodstock on Saturday with his mother, Mrs. Loudon F. Benchoff and brother, Prof. Ross E. Benchoff, of Johnston, Pa., and on Sunday visited the Skyline Drive. Following a chill, pneumonia developed and death followed.
He is survived by his mother and three brothers, Colonel Benchoff, Professor Ross Benchoff, and Major Guy Benchoff, the latter of Massanutten Academy.
The body will be sent to Waynesboro tomorrow and after funeral services at the home at four o'clock Wednesday, interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
