Ima Huff Ashwood, age 89, of Grapeland, Texas died January 4, 2010 at East Texas Medical Center in Crockett, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with burial in Parker Cemetery. She was born March 26, 1920 in Grapeland, the daughter of Eugene Virgil "Brud" and Lorena Brown Huff. Mrs. Ashwood was a grocery checker and worked many years for Darsey's Grocery Store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Ashwood; sisters, Luna Matthews, and Ann Brown; brothers, Gene Huff, Nolan Huff, Harvey Huff, and Bill Huff. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Weeks, and Nina Barrett and husband Lynn; brother, Charles Huff; grandchildren, Gaylon Barrett, Stacey Cumming, Mark Barrett, Wendi Shaw, and Brian Weeks; and seven great-grandchildren.
