Nellie B. Throm Fuller, 98, Marysville, died Wednesday Feb. 21, 2007, at Cambridge Place, Marysville. A service was at 10 a.m. Monday at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. The Rev. John Jones, Wymore, officiated. Deb Landoll was organist. Wayne Kruse sang "Amazing Grace," "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Morning Has Broken." Pallbearers were Alex Pecenka, Nick Pecenka, Lyndon Throm, Gene Throm, Billy Throm Jr. and Todd Brummond. Honorary pallbearers were Melinda Throm, Colette Pecenka, Rita Brummond, Niece Sprague, Brenda Haslam and Shelli Merrion. Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial was in Chester City Cemetery, Chester, Neb. Memorial contributions to Meadowlark Hospice may be sent in care of the mortuary.
Nellie Fuller was born Oct. 25, 1908, at Norton, the daughter of Edson M. and Lola M. Holmes Palmer. She graduated from Chester High School, Chester, Neb., and Emporia Teacher's College. She was a teacher for 36 years. She retired in 1974. She was a substitute teacher for Marysville.
She married William Throm Feb. 14, 1937, at Salina. He preceded her in death in 1982. She married Harold Fuller April 26, 1986, at Wymore. She moved to Rolla, Mo., where Harold was a college professor. He preceded her in death in 1996.
She was a member of the Christian Church, Chester, and the Church of Christ, Wymore. She was a Sunday school pianist, teacher, superintendent and youth sponsor. She was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association, AARP, Women's Aglow, the Rolla Hospital Auxiliary and Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Pecenka, Bremen, and Caroll Tucker, Las Vegas, Nev.; and one son, Billy Throm, Climax Springs, Mo.; stepchildren, Richard Fuller, Roseville, Robert Fuller, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Harry Fuller, San Francisco; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Clarence, Marion and Clifford; five sisters, Mildred Delcie, Ruthe, Viola and Grayce; and one great-granddaughter.
