Oliver Lathrop came to Middlebury and then Weybridge VT. The first Lathrop of my line to be in Vermont.
Oliver's death record, Weybridge VT bk1 pg30: Oliver Lathrop died Sept. 5, 1858, age 80 yrs 9mos & 7days, died in School District no. 6, of old age, a widower, blind 20 years, house builder, born Norwich Conn., parents Jeremiah & Lydia Lathrop.
In the Atlas of Addison County, by F.W.Beers in 1871, in the town of Weybridge, "Oliver Lathrop, from Norwich, Conn., settled in town in 1819, after living in Middlebury five years. He settled in 1826, on the farm now owned by George Lathrop." (on the map the house is about 200 rods south of the Wright Monument in Weybridge on the east side of the road)
