"Ames Resident Dies Here at Home of Niece"
"C. H. Nivel, of Ames, 76 years of age, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Henry Scharf [Elsie I. Nibel], east of the city Wednesday aternoon after a lingering illness. Mr. Nivel lived in Fort Dodge at one time many years ago.
He is survived by one son, A. C. Nivel of Slater, two sisters and one brother. His sisters and brother who live in Hollywood are Mrs. Belle Evans, Mrs. Mattie Romberger and George Nivel. His wife preceded him in death.
Services will take place Saturday morning at the Scharf home after which the body will be taken to Ames for burial."
