"Charles H. Salesman, 80, of 1008 McAlister ave,., Benton Harbor, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Campy's convalescent home, St. Joseph, where he had been a patient four weeks.
Mr. Salesman was born July 4, 1880, in Denver, Ind., the son of the late William and Elizabeth Salesman. He moved to Warsaw, Ind. with his parents as a small child. At the age of 24, he moved to Mishawaka, Ind. where he resided until coming to Benton Harbor three years ago. While there, he and his brother operated the Salesman Bros. Machine shop.
Mr. Salesman is survived by his wife, the former Miss Addie Ramer, whom he married in 1917 in St. Joseph; two nieces, Mrs. Emma Burkett and Mrs. Ruby Caldwell, both of Benton Harbor, and a nephew, Jack Richardson, also of Benton Harbor.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the Frost funeral home, with the Rev. Standly Buck, DD, pastor of the Methodist Peace Temple, officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairview cemetery in Mishawaka. Firends may call at the funeral home."
