An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Thursday, May 4, 1978:

Funeral services for Jeff Warren, 77, of Gatesville were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gatesville Funeral Home chapel.
Ministers Edward Schaub and Bill Dodd conducted the rites, and burial was in Restland Cemetery.
Mr. Warren, a retired farmer, died Friday morning in a local nursing home.
Born Feb. 10, 1901, in Wood County, he had lived in the Coryell County nearly all his life. He married Miss Oma Lee Thornton in Gatesville on July 18, 1923. They resided in the Arnett community before moving to Gatesville in 1943.
Mr. Warren was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Neel of New Orleans, La., Mrs. Eva Hunter and Mrs. Dixie Neel, both of Gatesville, Mrs. Sandra Watts of Mound and Mrs. Barbara Watts of Killeen; two sons, Jim Warren and Richard Warren, both of Gatesville; a sister, Mrs. Dovie Price of Gatesville; one brother, Calvin Warren of Hollis, Okla.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for Mr. Warren's funeral were George Tull, B. R. Peevy, W. R. Lagrone, Lester Dixon, Jimmy Morgan and John Bales.
Honorary pallbearers were Wyllis Ament, Raymond Leonard, Thurman Estes, Otha Estes, Bub Cooper, Jack Davidson and Kearney Cole.
