Lester Howard Boyer, 79, died July 12 1998, at South Lyon Medical Center.
A native of Telluride, CO, he was born Aug. 25, 1918, to James Robert and Arilla May Park Boyer and had lived in Mason Valley since 1963 and in Nevada since 1959.

Boyer worked in the mining industry for 50 years, retiring in 1984. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters. Surviving are wife, Doris and son, Darrell, both of Yerington; son, Dallas of Round Mountain; son, Orville of Pleasanton, CA; daughter Cora Weekly, and sister, Laura Archambeau, both of Colorado; sister, Della Litteral of Oregon; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

A memorial service was held Thursday at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Fernley.

Cremation is under the direction of Freitas-Rupracht Funeral Home.
