H. G. "Bud" Garoutte, age 71, of Waxahachie, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Baylor Medical Center, Waxahachie. He was born February 24, 1936, in Dallas, Texas, to Herbert Grady Garoutte, Sr. and Georgia Ann (Skelton) Garoutte. Bud retired from Southwestern Bell after 39 years of service, the most recent being Safety Instructor. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Waxahachie and had served as a Deacon and Elder of the Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Alicia Garoutte of Waxahachie; one daughter, Dolly Clemmons and her husband, Mark of Midlothian; two sons, David Garoutte and his wife, Diane of Japan and Jon Garoutte of Waxahachie; 7 grandchildren, Christopher and Melissa Lewis, Lindsey Lewis, Will and Collin Garoutte and Kaylee and Evy Garoutte; two sisters, Betty Jo Easom of Duncanville and Susie Pardue and her husband, Jerry of Hempstead and one brother, Tommy Garoutte of Waxahachie. Funeral services are scheduled for 2PM Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the First Christian Church with Reverend Vance McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brady Cox, Bill Slate, David McKie, Lynn Lewis, Johnny Evans and Dennis Miller. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. The family will also be receiving friends at their home. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Waxahachie.
