Marshall Mountain Wave - Jan 6, 1906

Co. G B Greenhaw, this week, handed the Wave an interesting item in reference to the oldest couple in Sercy County, who have been living together, as man and wife, the longest. He has been traveling around the county a great deal of late, and he came in touch with quite a anumber of old couples, and if there are any others in the county who can beat the record given below he would like to hear from them.

As a result of the investigation, Col. Greehaw found that "Uncle Len" Keeling and wife Tomahawk are the oldet, as far as he knows. "Uncle Len" was born November 20, 1822 and his wife, Elizabeth M., was born January 27, 1827. They were married January 1, 1849 and have been living together harmoniously for 57 years. The Wave joins with many friends in wishing them many more years of life and prosperity.
