Migrated to Clinton Co, Indiana by 1840; then to Putnam Co, IN by 1850. On the 1870 census the family is living in Parke Co, Indiana where Washington and Ma(e?)linda died and are buried. They had 5 known children: Sarah born ca 1830-married a James H. Elliott; Alexander born ca 1835-married (2nd?) a Louisa J. nee/uk; James William born Sept 27, 1838-married Hanna(h) Eliza Wright; Cynthia A. born ca 1840-married a John A. Aydelotte (blacksmith); and Malissa who died at age 16.
