John H. Myers, 59, a well known retired farmer of Monroeville, died at his home on Saturday of chronic myocarditis. Born in Wooster, O., he came to Allen county with his parents when three years old., and had lived on a farm tow and one half miles from Monroeville until his retirement three years ago. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are four sons, Orren and Ralph Myers of Monroeville, Charles of Fort Wayne and Harlen Myers of Richmond; two daughters, Mrs. Victoria Harries of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Cloe Giant of Monroeville; one brother, George W. Myer of Kelso, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Clear of Detroit; 23 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to Painter Brothers' funeral home in Monroeville, where services will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, and at 1:30 o'clock at the Monroeville Methodist church. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F cemetery, Monroeville.
