Funeral services for James Odell Skyberg, 32, killed in a mill accident at Columbia Falls, September 8, were conducted September 10 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Columbia Falls, Montana. The pastor, the Rev. C. M. Rasmussen, officiated. The body was sent to Jasper, Minnesota, for burial. Pallbearers were Edward DeReu, Ralph D. Larson, Robert R Adams, Paul Dowler, Tom Crum and Pat Warner. James Odell Skyberg was born February 14, 1932, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Skyberg, at Howard, South Dakota. When he was 16, the Skyberg family moved to Long Prairie, Minnesota, where he lived for four years. Mr. Skyberg moved to Jasper, Minnesota, later with his wife, the former Margorie Marie Theresa Kortueum. The family moved to Martin City April 21, 1951. He was employed at Hungry Horse Dam and as a choker setter for F, K & L Lumber Company. He is survived by his wife; seven children, Cheryl Marie, 12, Judith Lyman, 10, Richard John, 9, Starr Lenora, 8, Peggy, 7, Terrance James, 5, and Debbie June, 2; two brothers, Joseph of Howard, South Dakota, Mrs. Gladys Henle and Mrs. Vivian Peace of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Sylvia Keller, Garden City, Michigan; and his mother, Mrs. Suzanne Skyberg of Jasper, Minnesota. Waggener & Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
