Mr. Lawson A. Vanderburg died yesterday morning of heart failure at his home on East Tenth street at 3:45 o'clock. The deceased has been in feeble health for some time and his family and friends knew that the end was not far away. He was 72 years of age and had been a resident of Charlotte since the war. Throughout a long and useful life he was a loyal and consecrated member of Tryon Street Methodist church. Surviving him are his wife and five children who are as follows: Messrs. A. A. Vanderburg of this county, J. W. and Otis Vanderburg of Hickory, Robert and Arthur Vanderburg of Charlotte. The funeral will take place this morning at the late residence.
