Ernest Howard Baker was my father and his first wife was Bessie Lou Belle Adkins Baker, shown as Mrs. E. H. Baker on the tombstone. She was the daughter of Elijah H. Adkins and Susie Crouch. Also buried in same plot was my sister, Janice Baker, who was dtr. of Ernest Howard Baker and Lorine McCaleb Baker.

Ernest Howard and Bessie Lue Baker also had a son, Ernest Howard Baker, Jr. who died at birth or an early age. He had to have been born before 1920 as his sister Ernestine Baker knew very little about him; he may have been buried at Stamford, TX.

Thanks so much for contacting me and the wonderful work you do in taking pictures, etc. I have visited the grave several times but my pictures did not turn out as well as yours.
