Claudeen Nelson Sorenson Shelley Conder passed away December 22, 2009 in Lodi, California.
She was born November 15, 1923 in Aurora, Utah on her mother's 20th birthday.
Her parents Frank and Murby Nelson were third generation Mormons, also born in Sevier County, Utah.
She married LaVar Sorenson in 1941 in the Manti Temple and had two children, Linda and Jimmy Sorenson.
After LaVar's death she married James Shelley of American Fork.
They were the proud parents of Jane Shelley.
When James Shelley died, she was married to Guy Conder of American Fork.
They lived many wonderful years in Lodi, California. Claudeen was considered the matriarch of her family.
Her mother died when she was only five years old and she raised her younger siblings as they were growing up.
She was very active in the LDS Church and in the local community.
She loved doing Temple work and teaching Primary children.
She is survived by her husband Guy Conder of Lodi; children James Sorenson of Merced and Jane Becker of Provo; grandchildren Cameron, Kimberly, James, and Kory; eight great grandchildren; brothers Max, Denzel, and Keith; and sisters Shirley, Iola, and Clara.
She was preceded in death by her brother LaMar, sister Madge, daughter Linda, and grandson MacKendrie.
Graveside services will be held Saturday January 2, 2010 at 12 noon in the American Fork Cemetery, 600 North Center Street.
Friends may call at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork from 10:00 am to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services.
