Mrs. Ada I. Grindol, 80, of Hickory st. died yesterday in Decatur and Macon county hospital. She had been seriously ill for four weeks. She was a member of the Cleveland Av. Methodist church and had lived in the Decatur area for most of her life.

She was born May 8, 1878, in Rochester, Ill and the daughter of John and Melissa Florey Samons. She was married to John Grindol Jan. 28, 1905, in Springfield.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Lelah Pitts, Champaign, Mrs. Florence Querrey, Argenta, Mrs. Ruby Brownlee, Denver, Colo, Mrs. Jewel Parker, St.Clair, Mich, Mrs. Opal Doore, Decatur, one son, John, Decatur, two sisters, Mrs. Josie Fry, Mrs. Grace Cowgill, both of Decatur and 14 grandchildren.

Burial will be in Point Pleasant cemetery.
