In Memory of Mrs. Belle Brown

"A precious one from us has gone
A voice we loved is still.
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled:
God in his wisdom has recalled
The boon his love has given,
And though her body slumbers here
Her soul is safe in heaven.

Dearest mother we will miss thee,
But our Heavenly Father knows best,
And may our memories often linger
On the one we loved the best.
Rest in peace, our dearest mother,
For we would not call you back,
For we know you did your duty
Which we hope we will not lack.

Some day there will be a glad reunion.
Father, Mother will be there
And a final heavenly chorus,
If we all our burdens bear.
Let us all be true and faithful,
God will help us if we try,
Let's have faith and hope and courage,
And a glorious meeting by and by. -- Mrs. Ida Davenport
