BOONEVILLE – Mary Anne Ward, 77, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Booneville, where she was a Sunday school teacher for the Upper Room Sunday School Class, a lifetime member of the United Methodist Women and served on various committees in the church. She was a retired school teacher after 27 years of teaching in the Mississippi School System.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church with Bro. Phillip Box and Bro. Adam Gordon officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Coach William B. Ward Sr.; one daughter, Jimmie Ellen "Gigi" Brumley and husband, Charles, of Corinth; two sons, Bill Ward Jr. and wife ,Paula, and John Andy Ward and wife, Rebecca, all of Booneville; seven grandchildren, Ashley Brumley, Patrick Brumley, Emily Ward Johnson, Trey Ward, Trent Ward, Anna Kathryn Ward and Jay Ward; and two great-grandchildren, Ward Johnson and Cailyn Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lawrence Gullett Sr. and Mary Barbara Fugitt, and two brothers, James Lee Gullett and William L. Gullett Jr.

Pallbearers will be Trey Ward, Trent Ward, Jay Ward, Patrick Brumley, Seth Herren and Foster Gullett.
