William Francis (Bud) Saunders, 63, died at 7:55 a. m. Monday at his home, 607 Fouts Street. Mr. Saunders had been in failing health for some time.
Funeral services were held at 3 p. m. Tuesday at Scott's Chapel.
Rev. Bennie McBryde and Rev. A. K. Marney officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery, and pallbearers were Gilbert Colvin, Clayton Powell, Andrew Powell, Ira Graham, Roy Evetts and Frank Woodson.
Born and reared in Coryell County, Mr. Saunders was a farmer and formerly was a civil service worker at Fort Hood.
He was a member of the Methodist Church, and was a veteran of World War II.
He was married to Miss Letha Epperson Nov. 22, 1952, and she survives him. Also surviving are one brother, Gaines Saunders of Gatesville, and a sister, Miss Berta Saunders of Gatesville.
