MISHAWAKA - Martha E. Whiting, 102, of the Golden Living Center-Fountainview, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, December 28, 2009. She was born on November 24, 1907, in Twelve Mile, IN, to Edward and Mary Alice Scott. Martha married John Davidson on October 5, 1926. He died in 1986 after 59 years of marriage. They had two children, Patricia and Vernon, who both preceded her in death. Martha was remarried to Ralph Whiting, who died in 2002. She is survived by three grandchildren, Duane (Eileen) Whiting, Diane (Mark) Mattison and Sylvia (Frank) Parker; six great-grandchildren, Nathan (Rachel) Parker, Dan (Sarah) Parker, Melissa (Mark) Olsen, Jennifer (Chris) Stultz, Paul Mattison and Tim Mattison; and three great-great-grandchildren, Owen Parker, Titus Parker and Brock Parker. Mrs. Whiting was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She had a deep faith and trust in God. Family and friends may join in a celebration of her life at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 2nd, with visitation two hours prior to the services on Saturday in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
