Funeral for Johnny R. Steenson, 55, of 1512 14th Avenue SE will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Musgrove officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Gardens of Memory.
Mr. Steenson died Wednesday at Decatur General Hospital. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Steenson; two sons, Michael Johnnie Steenson of Jacksonville, Fla; and Patrick Scott Steenson of Decatur; his mother, Beryl Steenson of Decatur; four brothers, William Steenson of Moulton, James Steenson and Wayne Steenson, both of Decatur, and Hal Steenson of West Frankfort, Ill; and five sisters, Mrs. Waymon Terry, Mrs. Samuel Keaton and Mrs. Donald Keil, all of Decatur, Mrs. Jack Gilchrist of Somerville and Mrs. Edward LaBudd of Los Angeles.
Pallbearers will be Duane Steenson, Warren Gilchrist, Waymon Terry Jr, Lem Cagle, Sammy Keaton, Steve Lanier, Ricky Lanier and Stacy Goodwin.
