A private graveside service was held yesterday in Needham Cemetery for David V. Cox, a former Marine whose court case inspired the 1992 movie "A Few Good Men."
Mr. Cox, 27, of Natick, was found dead of gunshot wounds April 2 after a three-month disappearance.
He was born in Boston and later moved to Needham. A 1985 graduate of Needham High School, he graduated from Massachusetts Bay Community College in 1991.
Mr. Cox joined the Marine Corps shortly after finishing high school. While serving, he received Good Conduct awards, letters of appreciation and letters of commendation.
