Former West Jersey Lady Dies In Peoria

Mrs. Henrietta (Olmstead) Alldredge, daughter of Robert and Nancy (Patrick) Olmstead, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 17, 1943, at the home of her son Raymond Alldredge, at 321 Prospect Road, Peoria, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 24 days.
She was born at Knoxville, Ill., on Nov. 23, 1862. She was one of four children, one sister Mary, dying at the age of 8 years a brother George at the age of 2 years and a brother Albert, at the age of 32 years of age. Her mother passed away when she was 4 years old. Two years later she went to Victoria and made her home with her uncle, Jonathan Knapp and family.
She was married August 12, 1883, to Clarence Delbert Alldredge of Victoria, who passed away June 28, 1942, at the home on East Jefferson street in Toulon, where they had lived for three years after retiring from their farm at Edelstein, Ill. Their early married life was spent near Victoria and they also farmed near West Jersey a number of years. MRS. Alldredge is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Henry Swank, three sons, Albert D. of Flint, Mich., Robert O. of West Jersey and Raymond I. of Peoria, as well as 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two sons died in infancy.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a. m. at the Wilton mortuary in Peoria, with Rev. P. H. Lotz pastor of the Methodist church of Toulon in charge. Interment was in Victoria cemetery.
