Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Howe Baptist Church for Elo E. Schneider, 56. Grayson County dairy farmer who died in a Sherman hospital Friday at 3:25 a.m. after an illness of five months. His home was Sherman route 1.

Rev. Malcolm Brown, pastor of the Howe Baptist Church, and Rev. C.J. Graves of Sherman, Methodist minister, will officiate. Pallbearers were Marion Reed, Jesse Reed, Clyde Kenner, Dool Elliott, J.J. Bennett and Alverson Morphew. Burial is at Akers Cemetery, directed by Waldo Funeral Home.
Mr. Schneider was born in Lavaca County, a son of the late Walter Schneider. In 1919, he came to Grayson County, but moved to New Mexico in 1921. Returning to Grayson County in 1937, Mr. Schneider started his dairy farm. He was a member the Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Allie Cole Schneider; his mother, Mrs. Nora Schneider of Roy, New Mexico; three sons, Walter Schneider of Howe, Glen Schneider of Sherman, and Norman Schneider, with the Army at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Md; five daughters, Mrs. Evalene Fuller of San Diego, Calif, Mrs. Jesse Hise of Lenexa, Kansas, Mrs. Thelma Nell Stroud of Lubbock, Mrs Aleta Elliott of Altus, Olka, and Miss Betty Schneider of Sherman; three brothers, Edgar Schneider of Plainview, Reno Schneider of Denison, Corwin Schneider of Las Cruses, New Mexico; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Bryce of El Paso, and Mrs. Ruby Smith of Raton, New Mexico and 15 grandchildren.
