Mrs. L. A. Gotcher, 95, pioneer resident of Coryell County, died at 7:20 p. m. Monday at her home in Gatesville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at Scott's Funeral Home, Elder H. W. Doss and Elder W. J. Chambers officiating. Burial was in the Restland Cemetery, and Mrs. Gotcher's grandsons were pallbearers.
Mrs. Gotcher spent most of her life in the Sugarloaf community between Gatesville and Killeen, moving to Gatesville 16 years ago when her home was taken into the Fort Hood reservation.
She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gotcher was born Miss Laura Ann Whiteley in Williamson County June 20, 1863.
She and Mr. Gotcher were married in January, 1891. He died Dec. 23, 1919.
Surviving are two sons, Aaron Gotcher of Rt. 1, Belton, and Martin Gotcher of Arlington; four daughters, Misses Bettie Gotcher, Lennie Gotcher and Edest Gotcher, all of Gatesville, and Mrs. R. L. Fuller of Killeen; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
