Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St., with the Rev. Robert Field officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Gamblin was born Aug. 15, 1924, in Wellington. She was happily married to Gurnell Gamblin for 30 years, before he preceded her in death in 2000.
Mrs. Gamblin was a lifelong Baptist and was a member of the Women's Birthday Club. She was a homemaker and had a cosmetology license for many years. She loved to read and paint. She enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three brothers.
Survivors include a son, Brad Gattis and wife Linda of Amarillo; a daughter, Dottie Batis of Georgetown; a brother, Eddie Whitten and wife Shirley of Wellington; a sister, Dodie Smart and husband Lloyd of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
