2nd of 10 children of Hugh & Cattarina Letcher Henning. was a volunteer in the War of 1812 serving until the end. joined a Militia regiment in Rensselaer became its Colonel. Moved to Lockport about 1936 engaging in business with a younger brother, 1845 moved to Wrights Corners, where he farmed and was very active in Town of Newfane politics. He was remembered as ever honest and upright.
