GEORGE M. HARDY, of Memphis, died in his home after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Jessie L. Hardy; two daughters, Dana Crowley of Bartlett, TN; and Lesa Ferrell of Memphis, TN. In addition, he is survived by his four grandchildren, Zachery Hunt, Jake Nivens, Holly Nivens, and Adam Ferrell; brother, Jim Hardy; sister, Bedelia Ledford; and his beloved dog, Honey. Mr. Hardy was a 32 year veteran of the armed forces. His business interest in Hardy Heating and Air brought him many friends and acquaintances. George loved fishing and hunting and anything that brought happiness to his friends and family. He spent most of his weekends at his home in Sardis, MS, where he made many life long friends that love and will miss him. This great Irishman will be truly missed by family and friends. Family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, and a Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Decemer 31, both at Memphis Funeral Home, Germantown Parkway Chapel, with Interment to follow in Memory Hill Gardens, Bartlett.
