Mrs. J. S. Headrick, age 83, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. M. Dean,
last Thursday morning after a six week's illness. Funeral services were
conducted here at 2 o'clock Friday with her pastor, Rev. F. J. Ingram,
officiating. Her six grandsons acted as pallbearers. She is survived by five
sons, Ed, of Horton; Jim and Tom, of Pyriton; Grover, of Arkoda, La.; Otis, of
Anniston; four daughters also survive, Mrs. Wylie Whatley, of near Ashland;
Mrs. J. B. Dean, of Ashland; Mrs. C. M. Dean of Lineville and Mrs. H. O.
Carpenter of Pyriton.
