Albert Tinder, Repairman, Dies.
Funeral services for Albert Tinder, 2944 North Talbott Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 1962, in the Flanner and Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Wednesday, May 16, 1962.
Mr. Tinder, born in 1881 in Danville, Indiana, died on Sunday, May 13, 1962, in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He had lived in Indianapolis 55 years. For 20 years, he was a salesman for the Singer Sewing Company, and for six years for the Hoover Sweeper Company. Since 1944, he had owned and operated an electric appliance repair shop. Until two weeks ago, Mr. Tinder attended University Park Christian Church.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Margaret Tinder of Indianapolis; four sons, Jack and Marion Tinder, both of Indianapolis, John G. Tinder, former Marion County prosecutor, and Gordon Tinder of Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Lola Hull of Celina, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Percy Mott of Detroit, Mrs. Art Conner of Indianapolis, Mrs. Roy Stewart of Titusville, Fla., and Mrs. John Shelton of Rushville; a brother, Ed McHenry of Miami, Fla., and 14 grandchildren.
