MRS. KATE L. BROWN.

Mrs. Kate L. Brown, 65 years old, 1061 West Twenty-seventh street, died yesterday in the Methodist hospital of injuries suffered a week ago when she was struck by a Northwestern street car at Clifton and Thirtieth streets.

Mrs. Brown, who had been in ill health, apparently did not see the car approaching and walked into its path, witnesses said. Philip Bird, 2110 North Capitol avenue, operator of the one-man car, was not held responsibile. Bird also was motorman of the car that was involved in an accident fatal to Sergt. Chester Fisher of the United States marine corps, several days ago at Twenty-first street and Boulevard place.

Mrs. Brown had lived in Indianapolis since 1909. Her husband, William C. Brown, is a garage operator. Survivors besides the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Paul E. Beam and Grover R. Burnett, and two sons, Orrin C. Brown and Arthur S. Brown, all of Indianapolis.

Funeal services will be held at the home of Mrs. Beam, 1062 West Thirtieth street, at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.
