Mary Anna O'Hara Way, 71, of Marysville, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at Milcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Nov. 9, 1935, in Lakemont, New York, to the late Rev. W. Heber and Glenna Leary O'Hara.

A homemaker and loving grandmother, she was a former elementary teacher in Berea early in her career and later was a substitute teacher in Columbus and Marysville.

She was a graduate of Strongsville High School and received a Bachelors Degree from Baldwin-Wallace and a Masters Degree from Kent State.

With a passion for genealogy, she was a long-time member of Hannah Emerson Dustin Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and served in many capacities with the chapter including Regent.

She was a doll collector, seamstress, an avid reader and enjoyed bird watching.

She was predeceased by an infant son, Allan Way; a brother, John O'Hara; an infant grandson, Drew Paver.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard A. "Dick" Way, whom she married June 27, 1959 at the Congregational Church in Strongsville; four children, Mark Way (Lucy Pena) of Marysville, Diana (Jeff) Senge of Pittsburgh, Debbie (Dennis) Paver of Raymond, Karen (Dave) Wick of Marysville; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Katie and Erin Senge, Kerry, Kaylee and Kimmy Paver and Sadie and Nathan Wick.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at UNDERWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 703 E. Fifth St. in Marysville. Interment was at Oakdale Cemetery. Calling hours were held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the funeral home.
