"Funeral services for Elmer E. Evenson, 68, of Minneapolis, who died Thursday, March 11 (1948) were held Monday, March 15, at Werness Brothers Chapel. Rev. Hjortland of the Central Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was at Acacia Park Cemetery. Mr. Evenson was born August 13,1879 in Greenleaf township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Even Evenson. He was married to Miss Dinah Thoen on July 19, 1906 who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Athylin: a sister, Mrs. Bertha Smidt of Seattle, Washington; and two brothers, Henry N. Evenson and Nels O. Evenson of Litchfield. Two brothers, Carl and Robert, preceded him in death.

Mr. Evenson was a resident of Minneapolis for twenty-five years and had beenan insurance adjuster for the Tri-State Insurance Co. for the past twenty years.

The following friends and relatives from this locality attended funeral services for Mr. Elmer Evenson in Minneapolis: Mr. and Mrs. N.O Evenson and Kenneth; Mrs. H.N.Evenson and Helen; Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Swanson; Mrs. Petra Halvorson; Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Thoen; Mr. and Mrs. Art Draxton, all of Litchfield. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stenberg, Mr. R. Grimsgaard, Mrs. Hans Peterson, all of Grove City and Mr. and Mrs. George Evenson of Atwater. Pallbearers were cousins and nephews of the deseased: Alfred Bergstrom, Thomas Skellet, Walter Evenson, George Evenson, Kenneth Evenson and Howard Evenson."
