He was married to the Ruth Kirkus Dunlop. He was the father of Mrs. J. Marvin Haynes and Ruth K. Dunlop. He was the brother of G. Thomas Dunlop of Chevy Chase, Maryland, Dr. John Dunlop of Pasadena, California and Mrs. Walter G. Peter of Georgetown, D.C.
Services were held at St. John's Episcopal Church at Wisconsin Avenue and Bradley Lane in Bethesda, Maryland on Tuesday, December 16. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Instead of flowers it was asked that contributions be sent to the building fund of St. John's Episcopal Church in Bethesda.
