Martha's father was Elias Robbins. He was born Nov. 7, 1836 in Coosa Co. AL, and died June 5, 1863 near Alexandria, Rapides Parish, LA. while serving in in the confederacy in the Civil War. CO. G, First Partisan Rangers, 22nd Texas Calvary. Burial place is unknown.
Her mother, Minerva Jane Burnett Robbins, was born June 1835 in Tennessee but moved to Wood County in 1850. On September 17, 1856, she married Elias Robbins and the couple lived in the Little Hope Community. Her mother, Minerva died in 1917 and is buried at Little Hope Cemetery, Wood CO, TX.
Martha was one of six children- Isham Wells, (married Eugenia Lipscomb) , Mary Daniel Cox (Andrew Cox), Nancy Daniel Murphy( W. Patrick Murphy), Augusta Daniel (died in infancy) and Frances Daniel Johnson (Samiia Johnson) Martha and sister Nancy were twins.
Martha married James "Jim" Yarborough Daniel on December 20, 1882. They settled in the Little Hope Community and raised their ten children. Maggie Daniel Pritchett, James Floyd Daniel, John Daniel. Robbins Daniel, William Arch Daniel, Isham Daniel, Claud Daniel, Lillie Daniel Schady, Marie Daniel Anderson, and Howard Daniel.
James and Martha later moved to the Oak Grove community where they were founding members of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. They are buried at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
