Mrs. Pearl Fisher Devoto of Evant died Friday, December 14 in Gatesville. She was 82.
Graveside services were held Monday at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville with Rev. Rex Tilly officiating. Scott's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Devoto was born April 25, 1908, in the Osage community, the daughter of the late Samuel and Emma Warren. She was reared and attended school at Osage.
She married Mr. David Henry Fisher in 1924, she [he] preceded him [her] in death in June of 1963.
In October of 1964, she married Mr. William Lewis Devoto. He also preceded her in death in January of 1972.
Mrs. Devoto made her home in St. Louis, Missouri from 1944 to 1967. She moved from St. Louis to Maude, Texas in 1967 and to Gatesville in 1973.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Maude for many years. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include one son, Harvey E.N. Fisher of Pueblo, Colorado; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Marie Kinard of Gatesville; one sister, Mrs. Willie Rudd of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family has designated the American Cancer Society for memorials.
