An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Friday, September 29, 1961:

Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Friday at the Mound Baptist Church for Ben E. Clement Jr. Rev. Walter Davidson will officiate, and burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Gatesville.
Mr. Clement, 57 years old and a prominent farmer and rancher in the Mound community, died of a sudden heart attack early Wednesday in a Waco hospital, where he was convalescing from surgery on his back undergone several days earlier.
He had been recovering satisfactorily and was expecting to leave the hospital in a few days.
Mr. Clement was born in Waco June 23, 1904, and lived there until moving to Mound 35 years ago.
In Waco he worked with his father, the late Ben Clement Sr., in the operation of Clement Grain Company.
He was married to Miss Bertha Jones Dec. 22, 1934.
He was a member of the Mound Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin Stevens of Mound and Mrs. Jack Aufill of Lubbock; his mother, Mrs. Ben E. Clement Sr. of Waco; one brother, Burke Clement of Uvalde; four sisters, Mrs. Joe Trautschold of Waco, Mrs. Lee Secrest of Fort Worth, Mrs. F. M. Gordon of Amarillo and Mrs. Fred Quebe of Houston; an aunt, Mrs. T. L. Smith of Waco; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Stevens of Mound.
