Floyd D. Bond died Feb. 16 at a Waco hospital. He was 71.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville.
Mr. Bond was born in Gatesville Aug. 29, 1933 to Allen and Runnie Douglas Bond.
He married Marjorie Stuart on May 6, 1961.
He served in the U.S. Navy between 1952 and 1955.
He worked for General Tire in Waco and retired in 1985.
He was a member of the Hewitt First Baptist Church.
He worked for the Hewitt First Baptist Church and the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; sons, David Bond and James Bond, both of Hewitt; daughter, Mary Alder of McGregor; brother, Elmo Bond of Gatesville; and sisters, Dean Bond of Gatesville and Mattie Toups of Longview.
