Carroll Beverly, 60, died of a sudden heart attack at 9:15 a. m. Wednesday at his farm home in the Hay Valley community seven miles northwest of Gatesville. A lifelong resident of Coryell County, he was employed as an attendant at the State Schools for Boys.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed Thursday noon.
Mr. Beverly was born near Copperas Cove April 2, 1904.
He was married to Miss Ima Edwards Dec. 22, 1929, and they lived in the Copperas Cove area until 1937, when they moved to Gatesville. They had been residing in the Hay Valley community since 1951.
Mr. Beverly was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Kenneth Beverly of Robinson and Lanny Beverly, who is serving in the Navy and resides at Mayport, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Haines of Gatesville: one brother, Roy Beverly of Arlington; three sisters, Mrs. Clyde Boyer of San Angelo, Mrs. Lorena Huffmaster of Gatesville and Mrs. Evelyn Pressler of Austin; and seven grandchildren.
