Delaino was my former father in law. He was a wonderful, quiet, sweet, soft spoken man. I loved him very much..And, tho it saddens me that he has now passed it also brings me joy to know that he is now reunited with his beloved Anna May. For sometime now he has thought it was the early yrs. of their marriage & that they had just finished building their home. NOW they really are home in God's beautiful paradise. His loving spirit, gentle nature and natural sense of humor were greatly appreciated by all who knew him and cherished by his family. Just being around him was like sunshine to the spirit. His strong faith carried him through the hurdles of life and he remained a positive presence for his family. He always credited the Good Lord for taking care of him and us. He knew that God loved him and certainly gave Him the praise and glory for everything. Dee was a Christian, a loving husband and father, and incredible grandfather. Although his family grieves his loss, they are comforted that he is in heaven free from pain and once again strong and well after a long battle.

From the Church of Christ, Burleson, Texas, church newspaper:

Sunday we spoke of "standng on the shoulders" of those who have gone before us. One of our couples who have been long-time, active and involved members are Gaino and Dottie Talkington. Gaino celebrated his 90th birthday in January and he and Dottie would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in July. We regret that Gaino passed away on Tuesday morning; what a great Christian man he was! For years he served this church as deacon with building maintenance and always had a smile on his face, something good and encouraging to say, and would do anything he could to bless and help others. We have been blessed by his life and we will miss him.
