Dick was raised and received his education in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island (Nebraska) Senior High, class of 1958. He was united in marriage to Kareen Peterson on July 14, 1979. Dick owned and operated Vintage Body Shop of Grand Island, Nebraska from 1976 until retiring in 2005.
Dick was a member of Faith United Methodist Church of Grand Island, Nebraska and Nebraska Skeet Association. Dick enjoyed shooting skeet and was a fan of stock car racing, having painted many race cars, as well as being a sponsor.
Dick is survived by: his wife, Kareen Alexander of Grand Island, Nebraska; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Juan Ayala of Palm Bay, Florida; son, Scott Alexander of Dallas, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Eunice Alexander of Grand Island, Nebraska; sister-in-law and her husband, Marsha and George Medbery of Grand Island, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Doug Peterson of Grand Island, Nebraska and a host of friends and relatives.
Dick was welcomed into The Heavenly Home by: his parents, John Raymond and H. Irene Alexander and son, Troy Alexander.
