Faye Mayeux, age 93, passed away at Bayou Chateau Nursing Home of Simmesport on Sunday, December 12th, 2021. Faye was a homemaker and an active member in her community and at church. She was a member of the St. Peter Lady's Altar Society and the St. Peter Church Choir. She was also involved in the annual St. Peter Church Fair as a "Cake Lady". Other than raising her family in a loving home, Faye enjoyed quilting, tending to her garden, and cooking for her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Anita Claire Bordelon (Kenneth) and Rosalyn Mayeux Saucier (Andrew). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brent Desselle (Angelina), Scotty Desselle (Daphne), Steven Cox (Scarlett), Summer Holliday (Mike), and Ashland Armand (Alexandra Morel); and her 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Mayeux; parents, Jules and Anita Clara Coco Bordelon; her siblings, Stella Prevost, Jules Bordelon, Ralph Bordelon, and Essie Pastor.
Visitation will begin at the St. Peter Catholic Church Hall of Bordelonville on Wednesday morning at 8:00am until 11:00am.
