E. R. Biltoft, eldest of the seven children of Nils Biltoft and Kathryn Johnsen Biltoft, was born April 20, 1885 on a farm near Beaver Crossing, Nebr. and lived his entire life in this vicinity. He died in the Friend hospital November 22, 1974 at the age of 89.
He married Myrtle Ziegler on Febr. 6, 1912. They observed their golden wedding in 1962 before retiring from farming. They moved to Beaver Crossing and made their home with their daughter, Ruby Huffman. His wife, Myrtle, passed away in Febr. 1967.
He is survived by five children, Lois Cast and Ruby Huffman of Beaver Crossing, Charles and Russell Biltoft of Santa Clara, Calif., Max of Cocoa Beach, Fl.; one sister, Gertrude (Mrs. Carl Steffensen) of Alliance; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Services were held at the Beaver Crossing United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Schruers officiating on Nov. 26, 1974.
