AMOS H. MELUGIN

CARTHAGE, MO.--Amos H. Melugin, 69, 510 East Macon St., died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday at McCune-Brooks Hospital where he had been a patient three weeks. He had been in ill health several years.
Born may 13, 1901 east of Carthage, Mr. Melugin had been a life-long resident of this area. He was married in September 1930, at Columbus, KS. to Myrtle J. Ferguson, who survives.
Mr. Melugin was a retired employee of the shipping department of Smith Brothers Manufacturing Co., and was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving , in addition to his widow, are a step-son, Leonard L. Robinson of Miami, FL.; a daughter, Mrs. Marvin L. Lambeth of Wichita, KS; two brothers; W. Edison Melugin, Carthage, route 2 and Russell Melugin of the state of Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Howerman of 506 East Central St., Mrs. George Long, 1740 South Maple Street and Mrs. Edna Frost, Carthage route 2; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Arrangements will be announced by Ulmer Funeral Home.
