Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
She died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.
She was born Aug. 1, 1915, in Wise County. She married Doyle Powell on Sept. 10, 1955, in Lovington, N.M. He died April 19, 1979. She moved to Lorenzo 45 years ago. She worked in the Lorenzo School cafeteria. She was a homemaker and a member of Lorenzo First Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for 16 years. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Lee Curbo, on Nov. 22, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie and Ronnie, both of Lorenzo; four daughters, Joyce Whittle of Amarillo, Sandra Nelson of Ralls, June Przybylski of Wolfforth and Levell Lewis of Azle; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
