ASHEVILLE - Eloise Austin Jones, 74, of 321 Oak View Park Road, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at Mission St. Joseph's Health System.

A native of Yancey County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1947. She was formerly employed with Farnam Mfg.Co. and Mills Mfg. Co., attended Reynolds Baptist Church and was a daughter of the late Charlie and Clara McPeters Austin.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Ted Jones of the home son, Eddie Jones of Asheville sisters, Allie Marie Austin of Asheville and Louise Crowder of Forest City brothers, the Rev. Charles Austin of Newland and Earl Austin of Leicester granddaughter, Erin Jones of Asheville and grandson, Cody Jones of Asheville.

The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
